Need of soil nailing and its advantages

Soil nailing is done to make the soil stable for any type of construction activity . The technique is primarily used for slopes ,retaining walls , excavations to make them more stable . The soil is made stable by using slender elements , like slender reinforced bars . These bars are called nails , and thus the name soil nailing .

The method is used in the places where the slopes and excavations are not used due to space constraints . This is also the place where the construction of wall is not feasible . The soil nailing is an arrangement to make the wall retaining .
The short crete , concrete and other grouting material are applied on the face of the excavation to grout the reinforcing nail or steeel . This method brings stability to the to the steep soil shape . There are different types of nailing. These are driven nails , grouted nails, self driving nails , launched nails and jet grouted nails ,
Advantages of the soil nailing --
The advantage of the soil nailing is that they are using smaller piece of nails than the ground anchoring. It is also less disruptive to the traffic and causes less environment damage as compared to other such services . The workplace is also less congested when compared with the bracede excavations . This method is beneficial in the remote areas and in smaller places as the less or smaller equippment are needed .The services are more economical than the conventional services of the nailing .

On the other hand the bored piles bored piles are used to provide strength to the vertical structures constructed on the ground . One of the foremost advantages of the bored pile is that it never produces lot of vibrations and noise . It is also less disruptive to the adjacent buildings and structures . The large excavation and subsequent filling are kept the low level . The strength of the structured constructed depends on the strength of the foundation and that is done by increasing the length of the pile in the ground .
The services are provided by the ground investigation providing companies . They have the in house testing laboratories and experienced personals to test the soil and provide the report before the start of any construction . The soil investigation are conducted in all types of soil conditions and on the final report depends the kind of services that are needed before the start of any constructon activities .
